The Technology

STRIKE MATS

Where you stand and where you swing. The hitting surface affects ball data accuracy, comfort during long sessions, and the overall feel of your simulator. We match the right mat to your launch monitor and playing style.

The Foundation

WHY THE MAT MATTERS

MORE THAN JUST TURF

Your strike mat is the interface between you and the simulator. It affects how the launch monitor reads your shots, how your body feels after 100 swings, and how realistic the experience feels underfoot. The wrong mat can feed bad data to your launch monitor or cause joint fatigue.

  • Launch monitor compatibility — overhead cameras need specific mat markings; radar units need clear sightlines at turf level
  • Ball data accuracy — mat thickness and density affect how the ball sits, which changes launch angle and spin readings
  • Swing feel — too firm and your joints pay for it; too soft and the club digs unnaturally
  • Durability — commercial facilities need mats rated for thousands of swings per week
  • Stance vs hitting zone — full stance mats cover the entire area; hitting strips cover only the ball contact zone
  • Left and right handed play — mat size and enclosure layout change based on whether you accommodate both

By Use Case

WHAT WE RECOMMEND

We have access to all the best mats on the market and work with each client to discuss the pros and cons of each option. Your mat recommendation depends on three things: your launch monitor, your playing style, and your available space.

Compact

HITTING STRIPS

$150 – $250

Covers only the ball contact zone, sized to match your launch monitor's detection area. Price varies based on turf feel, durability, and quality. Best for tight spaces, overhead camera launch monitors, and builds where the surrounding floor will be covered in custom turf.

  • Matched to launch monitor detection zone width
  • Minimal footprint — saves space in compact rooms
  • Easy to replace when worn
  • Pairs with surrounding synthetic turf for a seamless look
  • Best for: Uneekor, ProTee (overhead cameras)
Most Popular

FULL STANCE MATS

$700 – $1,200

Covers the entire hitting and stance area, approximately 5'x10' for a player who hits both left and right handed. Price varies based on size. The most common choice for dedicated simulator rooms. Comfortable for long practice sessions.

  • Full coverage — stance + hitting zone in one piece
  • 5'x10' standard size (adjustable for L/R play)
  • Multi-layer construction for comfort and durability
  • Realistic turf feel with proper ball sit height
  • Best for: all launch monitors, dedicated sim rooms
Heavy Duty

COMMERCIAL GRADE

$1,300+

Built for facilities running 40-60 hours per week of play. Thicker base, replaceable hitting inserts, and commercial-grade turf that holds up to daily abuse. We spec these for every commercial build.

  • Reinforced base layer for daily commercial use
  • Replaceable hitting insert — swap the worn section, not the whole mat
  • Anti-fatigue padding for player comfort during long sessions
  • Multiple tee positions for varied practice
  • Best for: commercial facilities, high-volume residential builds

Beyond the Mat

TURF & PUTTING SURFACES

CUSTOM TURF FLOORS

Beyond the hitting mat, we install full synthetic turf flooring throughout the simulator room. This includes custom putting greens with regulation cups, approach areas, and seamless transitions between zones. The turf ties the entire room together.

  • Full room turf coverage — wall to wall synthetic grass
  • Custom putting greens with regulation 4.25" cups
  • Multiple cup positions for varied putting practice
  • Turf underlayment for cushion and leveling
  • Seamless transitions between hitting mat and surrounding turf
  • Nosing and trim for clean edges where turf meets existing flooring
